Chapter One :Chapter 1

Ye Feng returned home in a dispirited state, the three long days of College Entrance Exams finally over. It had been an unbearable torment, the longest and most difficult three days of his life.

Looking at each question on the exam paper invoked a feeling of vague familiarity, yet, Ye Feng felt indifferent. He believed the greatest thing he gained from his three years of high school was merely a superficial familiarity with these questions.

“Xiao Feng is back. You must be exhausted," his mother said with concern as she saw him come in. "Take a rest now.”

“Mum, I’m tired. I’ll lie down for a while and don’t call me for dinner." Ye Feng knew his own situation. The exam hadn't gone well, and he didn’t know how to face his mother, so he decided to seclude himself in his room.

“There are fruits and drinks in the fridge.”

“Hmm, I know.”

“Bang”

The door gently closed, and Ye Feng threw himself onto the bed.

“Ouch.”

“Xiao Feng, what happened?” His mother asked tenderly from outside.

“I bumped into something, but I’m fine.”

Ye Feng lay on his bed grimacing in pain; he had accidentally bumped into his bag that he had just thrown onto his bed.

“What the hell is so hard?” Ye Feng picked up his bag, opened it and saw a small black slate. It was around 20cm long, 8cm wide, 2cm thick, and had a bright moon engraved on both sides.

“Damn it, the internet really does fool people.”

No wonder Ye Feng cursed, this was the "Moonlight Treasure Box" he had bought online.

During his three years in high school, Ye Feng had been addicted to the internet, making sure to maintain over ten hours of QQ online status every day, even during class hours, through his phone. However, Ye Feng rarely played online games but was fascinated with internet novels, reading any kind of urban fantasy or cultivation genre he came across.

Ye Feng was always attracted by the various strange occurrences of crossing worlds in novels, often fantasizing about himself being able to cross over to other realms like the protagonists in the novels, surrounded by countless beauties, with followers everywhere.

Picking up the Moonlight Treasure Box, Ye Feng casually threw it onto a table near the window.

What a scam! According to the seller, this Moonlight Treasure Box is a powerful item that could send a person back to ten days ago. The funny thing is that the trigger condition is that phrase, "Boro Boromi". Ye Feng, at the time, out of a casual whim, bought a D-version box, priced at one hundred yuan.

After receiving this Moonlight Treasure Box, Ye Feng tested it countless times. Like a fool, he shouted "Boro Boromi" at the box until he felts dizzy and his mouth was dry.

Cheap things really can't be good!

As he lay on his bed, Ye Feng couldn't help but think resentfully, if he could really go back to ten days ago, he would be rich! Firstly, he would memorize all the questions on the college entrance exam papers. Even though he didn't know how to answer them all, he almost remembered all of them. If he could go back to ten days ago, he would have someone find the standard answers - what is a prestigious university but a cloud?

Secondly, he would immediately check the lottery results determined during these ten days and try to win a hundred million yuan. He would be the fastest rich high school student in history.

In the blink of an eye, Ye Feng, surrounded by countless beauties and immersed in a state of illusion where gold coins were flying all over the sky, drifted off to sleep.

During the midnight, the moonlight was extraordinarily bright. According to the lunar calendar, the full moon night was on the fifteenth. The watery moonlight casting on the Moonlight Treasure Box through the window made the moon figure carved on the box glow faintly.

"Boro Boromi," the poor Ye Feng was still thinking about it in his sleep.

A pang of bladder discomfort woke him up after a few hours' sleep on his bed.

In a haze, he saw the faintly glowing Moonlight Treasure Box. He picked it up and subconsciously whispered, "Boro Boromi."

"Hum"

As Ye Feng voiced "Boruo Boluomi", an intense light surged in the bedroom. The blinding light brought about an enhanced clarity to Ye Feng.

"What's happening?"

The light enveloped Ye Feng.

"Whoosh"

Ye Feng vanished, and the Moonlight Treasure Box on the table lost its luminescence in an instant, returning to its previously dim and lusterless state, disappearing without a trace.

"Damn it, did I actually travel through time?"

"Where am I being taken?"

"I haven't even prepared for anything yet."

"Could this hold off for a moment, I'm suffocating here, I urgently need to pee."

Ye Feng, who was enwrapped in the light, yelped out.

"Thud"

Ye Feng was dropped, almost having an accident out of fright, "What's up with this crappy box, doesn't it have any morals? Does it want to drop me to death?"

As Ye Feng got back on his feet intending to rush to the restroom, he pushed the door in his confusion and froze on the spot.

What is this place, it's not his home, his bedroom door opens to the left to find a bathroom, but what caught his eye was a spacious courtyard, in which unknown flowers and plants were grown.

After a stunned moment, Ye Feng pinched hard on his own leg.

"Hiss"

That actually hurt. Ye Feng was grimacing in pain, completely stunned. This wasn't a dream, he had indeed traveled across time.

A sharp pain emerged from his lower abdomen, causing Ye Feng to not pay attention to his surroundings as he urgently looked for a convenient place.

Hiding behind a bush of blossoming flowers, Ye Feng was liberating himself. Where on earth was he? He could not find anything that remotely resembled his home. Wasn't he supposed to go back ten days in time? Did he land in the wrong place?

"Young Master, you are up to no good again. Be careful, if the Master finds out, you'll suffer the consequences," A sweet voice echoed in Ye Feng's ears.

What was happening? Ye Feng shivered, his partially relieved bladder forcibly clenching itself.

He hastily pulled up his trousers and turned around.

Oh my god, a beauty!

A tender, beautiful girl, around fifteen or sixteen years old, stood in front of Ye Feng.

"May I know your name, beautiful? I am Ye Feng, it's nice to meet you.”

Completely disregarding his embarrassing behavior from moments ago, Ye Feng shamelessly approached the beautiful girl for a chat.

"Giggle, stop it, Young Master, you always resort to this trick, can't you change your approach?" The young girl laughed, her radiant smile outshining the surrounding flowers.

Entranced by her beauty, Ye Feng was stunned, and he even drooled unknowingly.

"Young Master, don’t stare at me like that, it’s making me shy."

"Hiss"

Leaf Feng swallowed nervously, his eyes never leaving the little beauty.

"Young Master, be patient. Little Jade will eventually be yours. The Old Master said, not until you succeed in Qi refinement, you can't have her. Once you become a true cultivator, Little Jade will be at your side."

What's going on? Leaf Feng only understood the last sentence; he automatically filtered out the rest.

"Young Master, don't zone out. Today is an important day. The Old Master instructed us not to be late. Let me help you change your clothes." The girl called Little Jade led Leaf Feng back to his bedroom to help him change and freshen up.

Smelling the faint fragrance of Little Jade, Leaf Feng's heart fluttered. In twenty years, no girl had been this close to him.

Well, if this could be considered closeness. However, Leaf Feng was passive, his entire body caressed by Little Jade's hands.

One might consider this caressing, but in reality, Little Jade was merely helping Leaf Feng change his clothes. The notion of caressing was simply Leaf Feng's interpretation.

"How about it, Young Master, are you satisfied?" Little Jade pushed Leaf Feng in front of the mirror.

"Ah!"

Leaf Feng shouted.

"What’s the matter, Young Master?" Little Jade asked anxiously.

"Who am I, where is this?" Leaf Feng grabbed Little Jade's shoulders and shook her.

"Pfft." Little Jade laughed, "Young Master, today you've finally come up with something new, not the same old routine."

"Little Jade, tell me, where is this place, and who am I?" Leaf Feng stared at Little Jade. The person in the mirror bore some resemblance to him, but was merely similar, not him at all. Leaf Feng was puzzled. Could it be that he had transmigrated into someone else's body after crossing over?

"Alright, Young Master, stop joking around. We'll be late if you keep this up." Little Jade removed his hands from her shoulders.

"Quick, what's my name?" Ye Feng held Xiaoyu in a firm grip.

"Young Master, you're hurting me."

Ye Feng realized he was gripping her too tightly due to his excitement; this was not how he treated beautiful women usually.

"You are Ye Feng, we're in the Ye residence in Qianzhou. Today, you're to partake in the progeny trial of the five great families, intended for the selection of those entering the Sea Watch sect," Xiaoyu replied. "Is there anything else you wish to ask, Young Master?"

"Uh, no." The information provided was indeed a lot for Ye Feng to digest.

Ye Feng followed Xiaoyu into the old master's room. Upon seeing the master, Ye Feng exclaimed in shock, "You're my father!"

The man standing before his eyes was strikingly similar to his own father, except that this individual bore an unspoken aura that his father didn't possess. The difference in their looks was minimal.

"Nonsense, or are you my father?" retorted the old master, feigning anger.

Ye Qingyun stared at Ye Feng, his son was generally well-behaved except for his erratic personality, which often led to peculiar actions, giving off what seemed like madness.

However, Ye Feng never really irritated anyone, in fact, quite the contrary; he was lovable at times.

"Ye Feng, how is your preparation? Today is a rare opportunity for our Ye family. Your father does not have a suitable body for cultivation, resulting in the decline of the Ye family. Fortunately, you can cultivate, so all my hopes are on your shoulders. Don't disappoint me," Ye Qingyun looked at Ye Feng with a loving gaze.

Since its establishment, the Ye family passed the mantle from generation to generation, with its existence primarily reliant upon cultivators. But this tradition took a turn with Ye Qingyun. Born without a body suitable for cultivation, his inability to cultivate led the Ye family to plummet from its position amongst the five major families in Qianzhou.

Had it not been for the legendary senior stabilizing the foundation, the Ye family would've long been stripped off their title as one of the five major families.

This senior was Ye Qingyun's ancestor, renowned for his remarkable cultivation level. But he hasn't shown up for decades, rumored to be wandering across the globe, chasing a higher realm. However, his commanding aura still remained, deterring other forces from targeting the Ye family.

Without this, Ye Qingyun, with his puny physique, would've brought ruin to the Ye family by now. For twenty years, Ye Qingyun has been conscientiously working hard, daring not to slack off, afraid the family business passed down by generations would fail under his watch. Fortunately, his son Ye Feng has once again displayed a body capable of cultivation - the resurgence of the Ye family is imminent!
